Anchored in a variety of roots music – from drum & bass to soul funk, crisp hip-hop to spirited rock & improvised jazz – Afro Dizzi Act have built a reputation as one of the most flexible bands in Australia. Their ability to craft a live performance for a particular audience and space is second to none and it’s for this reason amongst others the group has been able to attract such a wide ranging audience and an equally diverse array of gigs.

Raw drums and jazzy loops created from live, sampled and programmed drums and a multitude of monster keyboards and organs and smooth guitars are a big part of the fat juicy fingers malone sound. The debut single “The Wisdom” featuring Ant Aggs is the result of the collaboration between fingers malone and Ant Aggs from Brisbane band Afrodizziact.

Afro Dizzi Acts innovative approach has seen them playing a diverse range of festivals and gigs, nationally & internationally, crossing many styles since 1997. They have solidified their presence in the Brisbane artistic community as a group who push the boundaries and are committed to high quality playing, performance and…... making people bounce!

The essence of Groove Dalley is the Groove. The Groove is where this music starts, evolves and ends. The music has been described as a fusion of electro-jazz, funk and hip-hop, combined with elements of Reggae, Latin and Dance.

Refugee Action Collective (Victoria) was established in late 2001. Even from this time our inspiration came from detainees themselves who were taking action from Woomera to Maribyrnong. We are an open grassroots collective, comprising a broad cross section of people.

The following Guitar Method is meant to provide both a practical approach to mastering the necessary skills on the instrument and a simple, practical explanation of the basic theory of music. It is not necessary to understand this musical theory in order to play great music, as many wonderful, untrained musicians have done and continue to do.
