Afro Dizzi Act is pleased to announce the release of their new EP 'Welcome Speech'. It was written as a reflection of our times whilst the band was touring throughout North East India. 'Welcome Speech' features pure world funk flavours. On the EP it is accompanied by dance floor starter 'Let Yourself Go' as remixed by Dave Dog (Resin Dogs) and a 9 minute psychedelic jam titled 'Rainbows'. Both 'Welcome Speech' and 'Let Yourself Go' are also released on an American pressed, limited edition vinyl 7" single, available exclusively through Butter Beats.
Raz Bin Sam has a unique style and sound which ranges from gentle lullabies to the hardest high energy ragga. Always fuelled by conscious lyrics, the charisma and originality of Raz Bin Sam stems from growing up in the war ridden streets of Israel.
Whaledreamers is the heartfelt story of the return of an aboriginal whale dreaming tribe from the edge of extinction and the equally, long journey of the whales, not only to survive the slaughter by man, but to engage the human race into waking up in time. The soundtrack includes music from Bunna Lawrie, Elcho Traditional, One Tribe Rainbow Choir, Stradbroke Traditional and more.
This EP is a culmination of music spirit which has surged, ebbed and flowed in me and with others for years. It is a reflection of a time and space, an energy both harmonious and chaotic, light as it is dark. It is dedicated to the musicians Carl Hemmings, Michael Huddleston and Bill Coupland.
